December to March Winter Adventure
In Georgia, there are always places to go horseback riding, skijoring (skiing while pulled by a horse) in the snow, and experiencing various adventures in winter. Even though we are reliant on the weather, the stunning scenery, excursions to fascinating locations, and delicious food make up for the short winter days.
Riding conditions can be excellent for most of the winter months with long, bright days and temperatures between 8°C and 20°C, dropping to 0°-8°C at night (aside from the hilly areas).
The diverse climate of our country, particularly the semi-deserts and steppes, enables us to ride horses for great distances. We typically have 6-7 hours every day, which makes for excellent riding conditions.
It is not uncommon for us to ride horses under a beautiful foggy or a pure blue winter sky and a golden winter sun. The neighbouring mountains are covered with snow, the grass is still in bloom in the fields; the air is clear, and the horses like being in such a free setting.
If it rains, we provide you with the option of one hour of riding lessons in either an indoor or outdoor arena. You can still ride if the weather gets better!
In order to make your vacation more enjoyable, we help you schedule additional excursions or activities. You can pick from taking a culinary lesson, touring a winery, or going to a museum while you’re here.
